Meet Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’s Fallen.

thefallen

MTV debuted a picture The Fallen, the mysterious villan in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.  Here’s what Shia LaBeouf has to say about the character:

Basically, the Fallen is to them what cavemen, Neanderthals were to us… He’s the ancestor, the first version of this exoskeleton. He’s the first version of this sentient being. That’s what he is. He’s the origins of what they came from. [The relationship between him and Megatron is] the Emperor and Darth Vader – it’s that kind of situation… He’s the main villain, so two and two makes four. He’s a badass. He has to be. The Fallen, his transportation method is really unlike any other robot’s transportation method. The way he fights is also very different. It’s spectacular, visually stunning, really incredible.

45 Seconds of Pure Crap: G. I. Joe Movie Clip

Well, over the years Stephen Sommers ‘ grasp of CGI still hasn’t improved. Check out 45 seconds of crappiness from G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra.  Really.  This looks bad.  The Master Chief Halo suites are ridiculous.

Movie Trailer: Toy Story 3

I love Pixar. They haven’t made a bad movie yet, and they’re the first affiliate of Disney to do a quality sequel with Toy Story 2. Now, next year we have Toy Story 3 to look forward to!

The teaser trailer for Toy Story 3 courtesy of Apple. Toy Story 3— in theaters June 18, 2010— is a brand new adventure starring Buzz and Woody in Disney Digital 3D™

Japanese Company Develops Robotic Death Machine!

001

OK, so maybe it’s not a robotic death machine, but this Japanese Construction Robot looks pretty scary right? Developed by Tadano Ltd. in Japan this Constructicon is dubbed ROBOTOPS and is built for work on the construction site.  The four-legged, two-armed robot has 29 functioning joints and is to be used as an automated mobile crane.

I think it’s an automated mobile unit of death waiting to happen.  But only once Skynet becomes self aware.

Obama Blamed for Terminator Salvation Flop*

terminatorchart

io9 “speculates” that the cause of the Terminator Salvation flop isn’t necessarily the director’s fault, the writers fault or Christian Bale’s wooden performance.  It was President Obama’s fault*.  The above graph (click image to enlarge) shows the performance of past Terminator films in relation to the President in power at the time of release.

Coincidence? I’ll let you decide.

* In case Secret Service or President Obama himself stumble upon this: This claim may not be entirely true.

Teaser Poster for Final Destination 4 Revealed

finaldestination4poster-thumb

For a teaser poster, I think this works.  But do we really need another Final Destination movie? I guess we do, Final Destination 2 has it’s moments, and is my favorite of the series.  And, David R. Ellis is back in the director’s chair, which is a plus.  But, like most horror franchises, it’s basically the same movie over and over again.

What’s the catch for The Final Destination (Final Destination 4)? 3D, of course! My Bloody Valentine 3D was a really fun theater experience.  However, 3D is not worth the migraines I get.  So, that’s not really a selling point for me.

Check out the poster and the plot synopsis after the jump.

Young John McClane explored in Die Hard: Year One Comic

diehardyearone1-cover-thumb

BOOM! Studios (the studio behind the Blade Runner Comic) is releasing a prequel to the Die Hard trilogy in comic book form called Die Hard: Year One.

Every great action hero got started somewhere: Batman Began. Bond had his Casino Royale. And for John McClane, more than a decade before the first DIE HARD movie, he’s just another rookie cop, an East Coast guy working on earning his badge in New York City during 1976’s Bicentennial celebration. Too bad for John McClane, nothing’s ever that easy.

I’m not sure what I think about this.  In comic book form, prequels and spinoffs are easier to digest.  Hopefully no movie is put in the works.  The last thing we need is another Die Hard movie.  The originals will do just fine.

New Website Tells You When You Can Pee During a Movie!

pstatues

Have you ever been in the middle of the movie and are squirming in your chair because your bladder is full, but you don’t want to miss any significant plot points?

Now, you don’t have to risk destroying your bladder or your movie going experience! Just head over to RunPee.com and find out at what point will be a good time to run to the restroom!

For example, say you’re going to Star Trek and get the XL Diet Coke.  If you go to RunPee.com before the movie, you’ll know that you’ll have a window of time:

Approximately 50 minutes into the movie when Capt. Pike leaves the bridge on his way to Nero’s ship and says, “Checkov, you have the con.”

There also is a way to find out what you’ve missed (or will miss) by unscrambling a spoiler.  (See it after the jump)
