Viral Marketing For the Film “Look” Censored by Post Office

Category : News

2look-postcard

A viral marketing post card for the upcoming movie Look scheduled to be mailed via the U.S. Post Office never went out, as it was deemed offensive.

While there is no nudity, it still is pretty questionable.  Some people are screaming censorship, but being a parent myself I can kind of side on the U.  S. Post Office on this one.  What do you think?

From Chud:

Writer/Director Adam Rifkin (Detroit Rock City) told the NY Post today- “We’re all in shock. Not only is it censorship, but with the post office in such financial straits, it’s ridiculous they won’t mail it.”

Look arrives on dvd May 5 via Anchor Bay.

Kal Penn Heads From White Castle to White House

Category : News

kumar

Actor, Kal Penn (mostly known for his role as Kumar and most recently his stint on House) has accepted a full-time job at the White House where he will serve as a liaison between the government and arts groups.

“I was incredibly honored a couple of months ago to get the opportunity to go work in the White House. I got to know the President and some of the staff during the campaign and had expressed interest in working there, so I’m going to be the associate director in the White House office of public liaison. They do outreach with the American public and with different organizations.”

So, I guess we’ll have to wait a while for Harold and Kumar 3. Dammit! Thanks a lot, President Obama.

Stallone Talks Expendables and First Look at Set Pics

Category : News, Pictures

I’m a big fan of dumb 80s action flicks.  Sylvester Stallone has just began filming The Expendables he’s touting it as “…a 1980s movie with today’s technology.” I’m really looking forward to this flick (even though it’s going to be a PG-13 action flick).  The Expendables is starring, written, directed and produced by Sly himself.

The other actors involved are: Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, Giselle Itié, Charisma Carpenter, Dolph Lundgren, Terry Crews, Eric Roberts, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, and Jet Li.

Collider was able to make it to a Press Conference, head over there to read what Sly has to say about the flick.  Also, Spoilertv has pictures from the first day of shooting.  You can see a few of them above.  Stallone is one ripped old dude.  Makes me want to head to the gym.

Early Viewers Gush over J. J. Abrams’ Star Trek

Category : News

treknew8

[UPDATE via Cinematical] The audience was comprised of Star Trek fans thinking they were going to see Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.  So, the reviews could be a bit biased.

A super surprise premiere screening for J. J. Abram’s Star Trek movie happened at the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin, Texas last night. So, what’s the response? Geeks are drooling, geekgasm-ing and doing cartwheels.
