LOL! Jake Gyllenhaal Playing a Persian Prince?

Category : News, WTF?

pop1pop2

This has to be the worst casting choice known to man.  Jake Gyllenhaal is playing a Prince Dastan in 2010′s Prince of Persia, based on the video game of the same name.  He’s the whitest Persian I’ve ever seen.

Here’s the official synopsis:

Based on the video game, which follows an adventurous prince who teams up with a rival princess to stop an angry ruler from unleashing a sandstorm that could destroy the world.

I think these pictures speak for themselves.  Absolutely hilarious.

Yeah, I would agree he is definitely white…. but it was a good choice if comparing to the game. If you look at the game character he is also white and same build. So they actually did a fairly good choice in matching the game. It was the game designers that screwed up.

If the day ever comes to me actually watching this movie, it will definitely be strange to see Jake play such a role. In my opinion he seems more likely to be a better actor in a role involving drugs and appearing as a stoner. Just look at his face and you automatically think he is high on drugs, or clueless as to what is going on.

Look at your history, Elizabeth Taylor played “Cleopatra” who is not white. This is just Hollywood being Hollywood.
