After the (enjoyable) mess that was A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 2, Freddy’s back to his old self in DREAM WARRIORS. This time he’s terrorizing the “last of the Elm Street Children” in an insane asylum (fitting follow up to yesterday’s session 9, right?).

Let’s get this out of the way, none of the ELM STREET sequels live up to the original. At all. But, DREAM WARRIORS is the most enjoyable of the sequels. Offering scares, a coherent story and some wonderfully creative dream sequence scenes. Yes, there is inherent cheesiness with the whole “Dream Sharing” sequences, but it’s a nice bit of fantasy.
