Movie Trailer: Moon

Category : Trailers

I am a sucker for Science Fiction.  Sam Rockwell looks like he’s giving the best performance of his career in Moon, directed by Duncan Jones.

Synopsis:

Moon follows Sam Bell, an astronaut assigned by Lunar Industries to a three-year mission mining Helium 3 on the moon, the earth’s new energy source. As his contract comes to an end and Sam’s health starts to deteriorate, painful headaches, hallucinations and a lack of focus lead to an almost fatal accident. While recuperating, Sam meets a younger, angrier version of himself, who claims to be there to fulfill the same three- year contract Sam started all those years ago

Category : LOL, Trailers, WTF?

Have you hear of C Me Dance? This is an ACTUAL MOVIE.  I heard Uncle Creepy & Co. from the Dreadcentral Podcast Dinner for Fiends talking about this on the most recent show (Knowing About The Haunting). Then Devin Faraci over at Chud posted the trailer, reminding me of this insane movie.

Surprise! Dragonball: Evolution Early Reviews are Terrible

Category : News

dz

Surprise everyone! Early reviews are coming in for Dragonball: Evolution and they’re not good.  I’m actually shocked that 3 out of the 13 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes are positive.  Still, we’ll see how this pans out over Easter weekend.  I’m guessing the percentage will go down significantly.

Here’s what they’re saying so far:

“Making no effort to be original, exciting, witty or even vaguely plausible, it may pass the time as sparkly fodder for 12-year-old boys with plenty of sugar in their bloodstream.” David Jenkins, Time Out

“A charmless, somewhat cynical attempt to cash in on one of the most beloved anime franchises of all time.” Orlando Parfitt, IGN Movies UK

“It’s just dull, dumb and depressing.” Andrew Osmond, SFX Magazine

“Tearing through its mystical, who-gives-a-toss storyline like a pissed bat bouncing off cave walls, Dragonball’s cocktail of cheap effects, eye-rolling cliches and dismal direlogue will have fans of the series condemning it as a beyond-lame failure.” Matt Mueller, Total Film

“When you head to the theater to see a movie called Dragonball: Evolution, you obviously aren’t expecting Shakespeare. From the advertising, the whole thing gives off a feeling of light, campy, action-packed fun that you would hope would allow you to just sit back, relax and turn off your brain for 90 minutes or so.

Yeah, well, that’s why we have words like ‘hope’ as a counterpoint to ‘guarantee.’” Ross Miller, Screenrant

Movie Trailer: Extract

Category : Trailers

This looks great. Mike Judge has created some of my favorite comedies with Office Space and Idiocracy. Now he’s back with Extract.  Let’s how the movie studio actually gives a damn this time and promotes this.

Plot Synopsis:

Dean (Jason Bateman), the owner of a flower-extract plant, tries to contend with myriad personal and professional problems, such as his potentially unfaithful wife (Kristen Wiig) and employees who want to take advantage of him

Star Trek Clip Reveals The Future Will Be Over-Lit

Category : WTF?

startrebridgeed

io9 reveals in a panoramic screen shot that according to the new Star Trek universe, there is no energy crisis.  How do I know this? Because of the absolute insane amounts of light bulbs used in the bridge of the Enterprise.  I mean, seriously! Do we need that many seizure inducing bright lights on EVERYTHING?

Take a look at the video provided by Collider after the jump.  You’ll get a better feeling for what I’m talking about.
