Japanese Company Develops Robotic Death Machine!

OK, so maybe it’s not a robotic death machine, but this Japanese Construction Robot looks pretty scary right? Developed by Tadano Ltd. in Japan this Constructicon is dubbed ROBOTOPS and is built for work on the construction site.  The four-legged, two-armed robot has 29 functioning joints and is to be used as an automated mobile crane.

I think it’s an automated mobile unit of death waiting to happen.  But only once Skynet becomes self aware.

These are beginning to show up in Italy.  Not sure when we’ll be seeing them here.  It’s a pretty crazy idea and could be pretty cool.  This has pizza chefs in a tizzy, it’s just a matter of time before we’re all replaced by robots.

Gizmodo has the scoop:

Created by Claudio Torghele with some technology developed at the University of Bologna, it does it all. Mixes the flour and water into dough, makes the base, adds the tomato sauce, and finally puts the toppings on top. The whole process takes three minutes, thanks to the use of infrared rays.
