Take a glimpse behind the scenes as Robert Zemeckis and Jim Carrey explain some of the magic of Motion Capture for the new take on A Christmas Carol. I hated Polar Express (although my kids eat up the North Pole sequence of the film) and Beowulf was almost unwatchable. My main gripe was the Motion Capture used instead of real actors, when real actors would have made both films better.
A Christmas Carol looks a lot better. Instead of going for “Photo Real” this looks a bit heightened. And I think that will help the viewer immerse themselves in the story.
