Star Wars Blu Ray Announcement Greeted With “Meh.” and Shrugs

Star Wars if finally coming to Blu Ray.  That announcement was met with a collective nerd shrug as there was no announcement regarding the un-enhanced Original Trilogy appearing on the Blu Ray set.  Do we really want to see bad CGI “enhancements” continuing to plague the Star Wars Trilogy? And does anyone care to see the Prequels and all their wooden acting and bad CGI in High Def? George Lucas thinks so!

LucasFilm’s Red Tails Has a Director and Cast

George Lucas‘ much discussed project Red Tails finally has a director and cast.  The LucasFilm produced movie about the Tuskegee Airmen (the first all-black, elite corps of fighter pilotes that flew for the US Air Corps in WWII).

The film will be directed by Anthony Hemingway (known so far for directing episodes of True Blood, Heroes, Battlestar Galactica, The Wire) and will star Cuba Gooding Jr., Terrence Howard and Bryan Cranston.

Casting Begins for Live-Action Star Wars TV Series

According to a story on Slashfilm, casting has begun for the long awaited Live Action Star Wars Television series.  Described by George Lucas  as “Deadwood meets The Sopranos in space,” the series will revolve around many minor characters in the Star Wars Universe and take place in between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope.
