Where movies such as Watchmen are under-performing, here comes Fast and Furious showing us that people don’t want to use their brains at the theaters.
Fast and Furious (the FOURTH movie in THE Fast and THE Furious Franchise) blew away all expectations and shattered records over the weekend, bringing in $72 million at the box office. This is $30 million over the previous record held by Anger Management at $42 million.
Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy these movies for the shiny pieces of garbage they are, but it always amazes me that the movies that make the most money are the least ambitious.
